Diversity Charter Denmark
The Official Diversity Charter of Denmark Endorsed by the EU Commission
What is Diversity Charter Denmark?
Diversity Charter Denmark is a national initiative that enables businesses and workplaces to commit to strengthening diversity and inclusion in the Danish labor market. By signing the Charter, companies signal their dedication to leveraging diversity as a valuable resource—creating benefits for private businesses, public institutions, civil society organizations, and diverse talents seeking opportunities in Denmark.
See the charter commitments here.
As the official national diversity charter in Denmark, endorsed by the EU Commission, Diversity Charter Denmark provides companies with knowledge on DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging), access to newest delveopments in the field within EU and network meetings for signatories in Denmark.
Our History & EU Collaboration
Diversity Charter Denmark is managed by Association Equal Access, a non-profit organization that has been actively promoting diversity management and labor market integration in Denmark since 1998.
The Charter was originally launched in 2014 in collaboration with the Ministry for Children, Gender Equality, Integration, and Social Affairs and the EU Commission. In 2021, it was relaunched by the Association Equal Access support from Jobindex to strengthen its national reach and impact. Today, it remains the Danish branch of the EU-wide Diversity Charter network, connecting businesses, associations, and municipalities in a shared effort to create more inclusive workplaces.

What We Do
Diversity Charter Denmark is driven by our signatories—businesses and organizations committed to making diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) a reality in the Danish labor market. We provide the network, knowledge, tools, and framework, but it is our signatories who turn insights into action.
Through our exclusive network, members gain access to events, workshops, and best practices tailored to their challenges and ambitions. We actively listen to their needs, shaping our offerings—whether it’s practical tools, expert guidance, or peer learning spaces—to support real impact.
We also develop a Diversity Year Calendar to spotlight key themes and dates, and our newsletters ensure signatories stay informed on the latest DEIB trends, initiatives, and opportunities.
By signing the Charter, businesses become part of a national and EU-wide initiative working together to create inclusive workplaces that attract and retain diverse talent.
